My interest in clothes started at a very young age, as my earliest memories are about what I was wearing.  I started sewing and designing clothes at age twelve because I didn't want to look like everyone else.    
I approach designing outerwear with the same idea as my fine jewelry, be unique.  I launched Janet Deleuse couture outerwear collection in 2010.  Everything I create are all one-offs with fine designer fabrics and made in the USA.  My seamstress is a retired professor from the Fashion Institute.  
Many of my outerwear pieces are made without patterns which I personally design, cut and hand-sew.
