The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County will host the unveiling of Cora International’s Blue Moon Diamond on Sept. 13, 2014.  The diamond will be on display at the museum until Jan. 6, 2015.

The 12.00 cts. Blue Diamond is owned by Cora International, the diamond-cutting company.

The diamond was unearthed by Petra Diamonds in January 2014 from the Cullinan mine in South Africa.

Cora International purchased the 29.6 ct. rough diamond from Petra Diamonds in February 2014 for $25.6 million.

Cora International cut and faceted the diamond to the current weight at 12.00 cts.
